Kitsap Soccer Club will hold an open tryout Jan. 28, as well as an invitation-only tryout March 4 and 5 ahead of its inaugural National Premier Soccer League season in 2017.
Players will have a chance to compete for contracts on a team with a proven track record of moving players onto higher-level teams in the United States and abroad.
“We’re committed to putting a quality team on the field and entertaining the soccer fans of Kitsap County once again in 2017,” said Cameron MacDonald, head coach and general manager.
“We’re looking forward to taking the first step toward getting underway again next summer.”
Tryouts are open to players 16 years of age and older. Participants younger than 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the event.
There is a $25 registration fee for the open tryout. Tryouts will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The January tryout is open to all interested players. The March event is open only to those invited by members of the Kitsap SC coaching staff — others will be turned away.
Players with previous collegiate and professional experience are invited to email the club to be considered for an invitation.
Kitsap coaching staff will be on hand to oversee tryouts and evaluate trialists.

The tryouts, as well as Kitsap SC training and home matches during the 2017 season, will be held at Gordon Field on the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.
