Klahowya dominates 1A Olympic All-League selections

Undefeated Eagles took five spots and a Co-MVP award; seven Cougars, two Knights, two Trojans recognized

KITSAP COUNTY — Klahowya’s Drew Dickson was named Co-MVP of the 1A Olympic League and he leads a group of six Eagles that were named to the first team.

Dickson, a junior who scored 10 goals this year, was a major part of a Klahowya offense that averaged three goals per game, along with seniors Darius Joe and Derek Carpenter. Senior Mason Joe and juniors Kris Chapparo and Josh Connolly also made the team.

Central Kitsap’s Matt Smith capped his career with a selection to the South Sound Conference’s first team. He led a solid Cougars defense that conceded just 28 goals in 17 games. Seniors Logan Field and Liam Cashmore were second team selections along with junior Axel Lundberg.

Midfielder — Liam Cashmore, Central Kitsap, senior.
