Klahowya lacrosse closes in on state tourney

OLYMPIA — Joe Hawley scored five goals and added five assists as first-place Klahowya easily handled Olympia 19-2 in boys lacrosse action, April 30 at Capital High School in Olympia.

It was the senior attackman’s sixth 10-point performance this season as the Eagles built a 13–2 lead at the half then held Olympia scoreless for the duration while delivering two three-goal quarters to put the game away.

Nick Hnatovic and Roque Blas each scored for Olympia.

With two games remaining in the regular season, the Eagles have a game-and-a-half lead over Vashon in the Division II Narrows/Olympic Conference.

Klahowya (12-1-0) faced Vashon (8-3-0) May 4 in a 5:30 p.m. start at Klahowya Secondary School in Silverdale and closes the regular season on May 11 at South Kitsap (4-5-0).
