KW cross-country wraps up season in Pasco

The King’s West girls cross-country team placed seventh overall at the Class 2B state championships in Pasco Nov. 8.

The King’s West girls cross-country team placed seventh overall at the Class 2B state championships in Pasco Nov. 8.

Junior Carlie Rouse posted the fastest individual KW run with a time of 21 minutes, 35 seconds, good for 15th place overall. Freshman Molly Wheeler finished three spots behind Rouse in 18th place (21:48), while senior Kristina Moseng (24:50) placed 54th. Freshmen Megan Barrows (27:24) and Faith Hamilton (27:32) finished 66th and 67th, respectively, while sophomore Brenna Myers (33:34) placed 71st.

Neola Putnam (19:18) of Trout Lake won the girls race.

The lone boys representatives — seniors Kyle Whitt and Jarrod Coley — both finished outside the top 50. Whitt placed 51st with a run of 18:39, while Coley (19:36) earned 90th place. Valley Christian’s Jeff Pope (16:12) captured first place overall in the boys race.
