The King’s West track and field team brought home seven individual first-place finishes from Saturday’s 12-team Crescent Logger Invitational at Crescent High School in Joyce.

Irene Moore, a senior, won all four events in which she competed — 100-meter dash, 200, 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles — to help the girls team to 58 points and a fifth-place finish. She took the 100 in 13.48 seconds, the 200 in 27:50, the 100 hurdles in 17:43 and the 300 hurdles in 48:10.

Carlie Rouse, a junior, earned third in both the 800 (2:41.10) and 3,200 (12:44.30), giving the Lady Warriors their only other Top 3 finishes.

On the boys side, Chase Estes and Drew McCullough went one-two, respectively, in the triple jump, with Estes posting a 40-foot-2-and-one-half-inch jump and McCullough a 38-07.25.

Estes also took third in the long jump (19-00) and second in the high jump (5-08), while McCullough won the javelin (160-10).

Nick Olson, a junior, took first in the 100 (11.71) and tied for fourth in the 200 (24.30), sophomore Kelvin Mason earned fourth in the 800 (2:11.60) and Eric Jeong, a junior, placed third in the 300 hurdles (44.70).

As a team, the boys finished in second place with 87.5 points, behind winner Cedar Park Christian (144).

KW was at Mt. Tahoma Wednesday, but results from that meet were unavailable at press time.

Golf

The Warrior golfers defeated The Bear Creek School 266-240 at the Redmond Ridge Golf and Country Club Monday.

Brian Pace, who eagled the par 5- sixth hole, shot a 47 to medal.

Jake Kenastan shot a 50, John Hoyum a 52, Patrick Maguire a 55 and David Huang a 62.

Scores weren’t reported for the girls team.

KW faces Northwest Yeshiva at 4 p.m. April 28 at Jackson Park Golf Course in Seattle.
