Bremerton grad Marvin Williams is averaging 13.8 points per game through the first 30 games of his fourth season in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks.

Williams’ season high is 22, which he posted on two separate occasions — against Charlotte Nov. 21 and Golden State Dec. 19. He is third on the team in points and rebounds (6.3).

The Hawks (20-10), who forced a Game 7 and nearly upset then-No. 1 seed Boston in the first round of the 2008 playoffs, are in second place in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference, trailing first-place Orlando (24-7) by three and one-half games.

The Hawks have won five consecutive games — tied with San Antonio for the league’s current longest win-streak — and are 14-2 on their home floor. Their next five games are against Indiana, New Jersey, Houston and Orlando twice.

Williams also is in his fourth and final year of his contract with the Hawks.

Williams won’t play again at Key Arena in Seattle, but the Hawks will play the Portland Trailblazers later this season.
