POULSBO — The Kitsap Rowing association is hosting the first of an annual summer scrimmage on Liberty Bay on Sunday.

The Kitsap Invitational Masters Summer Scrimmage will take place at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Liberty Bay and will feature Masters rowing clubs from Silverdale and Bainbridge Island as well as Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Sequim and Vashon Island.

The start/finish line is off of Keyport Dock and rowers will make their way clockwise around the bay. Race headquarters and beach launch are at Oyster Plant Park in Poulsbo.

However, the best viewing will be from Waterfront Park and binoculars are recommended for bystanders.

The race is expected to begin around 9:30 a.m. and will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
