Former state and national wrestling champion and Olympic High graduate Ozzie Saxon will host the 2008 Technique/Competition Camp from June 30 to July 3 at OHS.
The camp is for students in grades 7-12 and a T-shirt is included.
Session one is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and session two is noon to 2:30 p.m.
Instruction will focus on takedown techniques, pinning combinations, escapes, riding techniques and more.
Lunch will not be served so campers are encouraged to bring a lunch. Only the morning session will take place on the last day.
A cookout will follow the morning session on the last day from noon to 2 p.m.
Saxon is now an assistant coach at Ohio University. Fellow OU assistant Kyle Hansen, a former Iowa state champion, also will coach at the camp.
Cost of the camp is $150 and the camp is limited to the first 60 applicants. Application deadline is June 8.
