Jonas La Tour was the leading scorer on North Kitsap’s league championship team, so it’s no surprise the 6-foot-5 junior was named the Olympic League’s Most Valuable Player this week.
La Tour averaged 26.7 points per game as part of a Vikings squad that finished 14-2 and took two of three games from Port Angeles and beat Bainbridge twice, and the last of each matchup were wins in the Olympic League tournament. La Tour scored exactly 27 points in each of the three tournament games.
Fellow junior Johny Olmsted was selected for the league’s first team, as was Bainbridge senior Andrew Ward.
North Kitsap freshman Cade Orness earned a second-team nod, along with two players from Bainbridge — senior point guard Jacob Kirsch and junior guard Cliff Hennessey.
The first team all-league girls team features North Kitsap senior Mia McNair and Kingston junior Ellee Brockman.
Selections for the second team include Kingston senior Kylee Walker and Bainbridge’s leading scorer, Anna Kozlosky.
