Outlook: The Vikings finished fourth at the 2A state tournament last year after capturing league, district and regional championships. North Kitsap is younger this year, but still very talented with a true ace at the top of the rotation in Hecker, the reigning Olympic League Most Valuable Player. The goal will be a league championship and a good playoff run, as always, and although they are less experienced — and should face plenty of good competition from Port Angeles, Kingston, Olympic and Sequim — they should be able to develop into a contender.
