SILVERDALE — It’s going to be a spooky end to the Olympic League girls’ soccer tournament Oct. 31.

The tournament, originally scheduled to continue today at Silverdale Stadium, was delayed because of a conflict with another event scheduled for the same time. The finals will now be Halloween evening at the stadium.

The North Kitsap Vikings and Klahowya Eagles play each other at 5:15 p.m., followed by the Kingston Buccaneers and Olympic Trojans playing at 7 p.m.

The Vikings and Eagles are playing for the No. 1 and 2 seed into the West Central District III tournament. The winner of the game will play White River at 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at Silverdale Stadium. The loser plays Renton at noon, Nov. 3 at the stadium.

The Bucs and Trojans are playing for the No. 3 and 4 seed into the District tournament. The winner plays Franklin Pierce at 10 a.m., Nov. 3 at Franklin Pierce High School. The loser plays Fife at noon, Nov. 3 at Franklin Pierce High School.

The Sequim Wolves, the No. 5 seed in the Olympic League, play Orting at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 31 in a loser-out game. The winner plays Lindbergh at 10 a.m., Nov. 3 at Highline Memorial Stadium.

The soccer teams are vying for six seeds into the 2A State championships. The championships for 2A schools will be held Nov. 16-17 at Shoreline Stadium, Shoreline.

The Vikings secured a District home game (Silverdale Stadium) by defeating the Trojans 2-1 Oct. 27.

The Bucs lost their chance to play at home when they lost to the Eagles 2-0 Oct. 27.

North Kitsap coach Chris May said he looks forward to the Klahowya game.

The two teams tied in league play and shared the Olympic League title. The Eagles were the Vikings only league loss.

Last time the Bucs played the Trojans, the Trojans won 2-1. Kingston coach Craig Smith said the Bucs are a much stronger team now, but so are the Trojans.

Smith expects the Bucs to continue using the counterattack and hopes the team can utilize its speed.
