HEAD COACH: Jessica Cabato

2016-17 RECORD: 12-9

TOP RETURNING PLAYERS: Infielder Kaira Cabato, senior; utility player Kiki Mitchell, senior; outfielder Ashlyn Morris, senior; pitcher Dani Snyder, junior; utility player Sadie Chipley, junior; outfielder/infielder Allannah Mitchell, junior.

KEY NEWCOMERS: Utility player Molly Gates, sophomore; pitcher Morgan Kroesser, sophomore; outfielder Elisa Turnquist, freshman.

OUTLOOK: A “strong group of returners” will bring back loads of experience, head coach Jessica Cabato said. Added depth to the pitching staff with Kroesser’s transfer and Kaira Cabato’s return after having surgery on a blown knee should help the Trojans as they look to expand on their 7-5 league record last season. Kaira, who is the head coach’s daughter, previously hit .517 her sophomore year and is a D1 commit. One challenge that Jessica pointed out is a lack of depth in certain positions. If the team can overcome those areas of small concern, they could very well land in the top half of the conference standings this year.
