The Central Kitsap summer baseball team is looking for players to fill out its roster for the 2008 summer season. To qualify a player must be younger than age 18 before Aug. 1 and must be planning on attending Central Kitsap High School. The Central Kitsap summer baseball team plays with the Junior American Legion league and is in the Region 3 division. The team plays about 30 games, including three tournaments. The purpose of the summer team is to prepare players for CK’s high school junior varsity and varsity teams. The Central Kitsap summer team will host tryouts at noon on Sunday, April 27 at the CKHS baseball field. No. 1 singles NK Britt Seaberg defeated A Kaeka 6-1, 6-2; No. 2 singles Gamache defeated NK Megan Oost 6-3, 6-4; No. 1 doubles Kester, Harmon defeated NK Cepulic, Dang 6-4, 6-1; No. 2 doubles Mattsen, Holtz defeated NK Habner, McGinty 6-1, 6-2; and No. 3 doubles Badilla, Gray defeated NK Bissonnette, O’hara 6-2, 6-1. The Vikings play Lincoln on Lincoln’s courts today, travel to Foss on Thursday and return to the home courts on Friday to play Kingston at 3:30 p.m.
