Roundup: North Kitsap baseball downs Olympic, but Trojans fastpitch tops Vikings

POULSBO — Tucker Gowin hit a walk-off double that scored Max Larsen to give the Vikings a 3-2 victory over Olympic. Isaac Richardson went 6 2/3 innings, allowing eight hits and just one walk while striking out six. Gowin went 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBI.

The Wolves had battled back, scoring twice in the fourth and once in the fifth to erase a 5-2 deficit. Dusty Garcia went 1 for 3 with a triple and an RBI and PJ Moritz drove in a run as part of a 2 for 3 day.

Morgan Kroesser’s two-hit shutout led Olympic to a 5-0 victory over North Kitsap. Molly Gates homered and drove in three runs for the Trojans and leadoff hitter Kiki Mitchell went 3 for 4 with four steals and three runs scored. Kaytelin Graf went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI.

Boys Soccer

The Vikings were shutout for 77 minutes, but scored twice before the final whistle to earn a come-from-behind victory over Sequim. Clayton Bond scored in the 78th minute, and then Nate Blanchard, off an assist from Race Schultz, lifted North Kitsap to victory.
