Emilee Poffnroth netted six goals as North Kitsap rolled to a 7–5 girls high school lacrosse win over Bethel of Tacoma, March 14 at Strawberry Field in Poulsbo. The win was the first of the season for North, which dropped its season opener two days earlier to Spanaway Lake.

POULSBO – Emilee Poffnroth netted six goals as North Kitsap rolled to a 7–5 girls high school lacrosse win over Bethel of Tacoma, March 14 at Strawberry Field in Poulsbo. The win was the first of the season for North, which dropped its season opener two days earlier to Spanaway Lake.

North Kitsap tallied six first-half goals before settling in for a solo goal in the second to cruise to the win. Tahoma’s Maddie Casey and Emma Autrey both found the net and goaltender Natalie Holcomb had eight saves. North Kitsap (1-1-0) next faces Bethel (0-2-0) March 22 in a 6 p.m. start at Strawberry Field.

North Kitsap is in the six-team Peninsula League of the Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association, comprised of five leagues and 32 teams.
