The Olympic High School baseball program is sponsoring the eighth annual Baseball Skills Clinic, presented by head baseball coach Nate Andrews. The clinic is split into two sessions. The first session, running from 9 a.m. to noon March 31, is for players in kindergarten through fourth grade. The second session, running from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. March 31, is for players in fourth through eighth grade. Both clinics are at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds, 1200 NW Fairgrounds Road, Bremerton.
Registration, which is $35 and includes a T-shirt, is the day of the event. There is space for walk-ups. Skills to be covered include throwing, catching, sliding, base-running, hitting and fielding. There also will be a focus on injury prevention.
Players are encouraged to dress warmly, but the Olympic gymnasium will be used if the field is unplayable. Registration forms are available upon email request, natea@cksd.wednet.edu, and on the Web, olhs.cksd.wednet.edu/baseball.
For additional information, contact Andrews at (360) 662-2711 or natea@cksd.wednet.edu (preferred).
