Umpires wanted
for spring sports
Peninsula Umpires is searching for people to work this spring. Training to work games at high schools begins in early January. Men and women are sought to umpire baseball, fastpitch and slowpitch softball in Kitsap and Mason counties.
The training is a free, comprehensive program with certification available. Check http://peninsulaumpires.org for the complete schedule. Peninsula Umpires officiate games from youth through college.
All members must pass a Washington State Patrol background check.
Umpires are paid for every game worked in addition to a travel fee.
