SKHS to host

wrestling camp

Wrestlers from first to 10th grade are eligible to participate in the June 2-6 camp at South Kitsap High School.

The camp runs from 5 to 7 p.m. each day in the school’s mat room.

The cost is $65 and it can be paid in advance at the high school ASB office or at the door June 2.

Former Olympic star

set wrestling camp

Ozzie Saxon, an assistant coach at Ohio University and 2000 Olympic High School graduate, will hold his Technique/Competition Camp from June 30 to July 3 at Olympic.

The camp features two sessions, the first from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and the second from noon to 2:30 p.m. each day.

Instruction will focus on take-down techniques, pinning combinations, escapes, riding techniques and other moves.

There won’t be an afternoon session the last day.

The camp is $150 and will be limited to the first 60 applicants.

Registration deadline is June 21.
