South Kitsap sees perfect record disappear
Gig Harbor won two of three relays to help itself to a 108-78 win Thursday at South Kitsap in a Narrows League swim and dive meet.
Perhaps the highlight of the meet for the Wolves, who suffered their first league loss, was the performance of their divers. Junior Joe Rose placed first with 250.75 points, followed by classmates Kelvin Waterman (179.3) and Preston Soete (131.1).
South also lost 108-78 on Tuesday at Stadium — no individual results were available from that meet — in addition to a 101-85 nonleague setback Wednesday against Curtis. Senior Taylor Rousell placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a state-qualifying time of 22.72 seconds in the latter meet.
