North Kitsap High School’s Saturday football game against Capital High will be played at Ingersoll Stadium at Olympia High School, not at Capital High School.

CROSS COUNTRY

At the SunFair Invitational in Yakima, the North Kitsap High School boys placed third overall in the 3A division, and the girls placed second. The team will run at Port Angeles High Wednesday at 4 p.m.

SOCCER

Bainbridge 7, Kingston 1

Bainbridge Island took a 3-0 lead 15 minutes into Monday’s game, and Kingston never recovered. Kingston earned its only point on a Kyla Jorgenson goal in the 69th minute, assisted by Tori Gerken. Kingston hosts Bremerton High Thursday at 6:45 p.m. at the North Kitsap Stadium.

“It was, regardless of the score, a good game for us,” Craig Smith said. “From that, I think the team is going to be stronger. I think we’re going to go into the Bremerton game more prepared.”
