Total Package basketball clinic
Total Package Hoops will host an intense shooting and ball handling clinic for boys and girls basketball players from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 29 at the Bremerton High School gym.
The clinic is open to fourth- through ninth-grade players.
Early registration is highly recommended.
Athletes will have the opportunity to be coached and instructed by experienced coaches and players.
The coaches — Craig Murray, Megan Murray and Rick Walker — have coached at both the high school and college level.
The staff consists of former NCAA Division I and Division II players.
The goal of the camp is to provide the serious athlete looking to advance their basketball skills to the next level with proper coaching and fundamental skills.

Summer running and conditioning program
The program is open to all seventh- through 12th-grade students who would like to stay in shape over the summer by developing both their endurance through running and their core muscles through a variety of exercises.
Participants will meet Monday through Friday from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at different locations and utilize a pool one day each week. There is no cost to participate in the program, but participants are responsible to pay pool-usage fees and supply their own transportation to and from the meeting locations.

Please watch for runners, walkers
The Run it Forward, Bridge 2 Bridge 5K Run/Walk is at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Runners will leave from Evergreen Park, run across the Warren Avenue Bridge to Clare Avenue, Lebo Boulevard and Wheaton Way before crossing the Manette Bridge and Washington Avenue toward Evergreen Park.
Race director Janet Emery asked Evergreen Park neighbors to watch for runners and walkers on the streets, as there will be more people than usual.
Slowpitch softball league
The Bremerton Parks and Recreation Department is accepting team registrations for USSSA men’s and co-ed slowpitch softball. Players must be at least 16 years old. The season is Aug. 10 to Sept. 30, including 10 division games plus an end-of-season tournament. Registration forms are available at the Sheridan Park Community Center, 680 Lebo Blvd. The registration deadline is July 7.
