Girl’s soccer against King’s
The girls soccer team was defeated by King’s, 2-0.
Both goals came in the second half, the first with 12 minutes remaining, the second with two minutes remaining.
The team was out-shot 11-7 at the goal. Kingston’s varsity goalie Sara Nash had seven saves in the night.
Head coach Craig Smith said captain Brooke Tschita, Liz Lawrence and Sarah Holt at center-back, and Kristi Mellum at center-mid all played well. He said the team still has much to work on, but players such as Emily Anderson and Hailey Stokes who never played a varsity game looked as if they were used to the faster pace game.
