Olympic League Tournament
The North Kitsap girls track team topped the competition at the Olympic League tourney, while the boys finish second, behind Olympic. Kingston came in fourth overall on the girls side, and sixth on the boys side.
Girls individual results:
North’s Siara Byers won the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.68 seconds, and the 200 meter in 26.13.Teammate Taylor Ottomano was first in high jump at 5 feet even, while fellow Viking Elizabeth Staker won the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 26.73 seconds.
North also won the 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays, with times of 50.87 and 1:50.38, respectively.
Kingston’s Marina Roberts and Ruby Roberts finished first and second in the 3,200 meters with times of 11:38.56 and 11:41.42. In the 1,600 meters, Ruby Roberts was first with a time of 5:14.02, while Marina Roberts was second with 5:21.34. Fellow Buccaneer Jaime Schultz won the triple jump with a distance of 33 feet, 6 inches, and was followed by North’s Stacie Brown, Ottomano and Kateese Carter.
Boys individual results:
North’s Tyler Spear won the 800 meters in 2:00.26. In the 1,600 meters, Tabor Reedy and Joel Brose finished first and second with times of 4:27.38 and 4:28.43. Reedy also won the 3,200 meters in 9:46:43, teammate Glenn Runnels was first in pole vault at 13 feet and fellow Viking Tolen McGregor won the long jump at 18 feet, 8.25 inches.
The tournament continues Saturday at North Mason High School in Belfair.
BASEBALL
Kingston playoff game rescheduled
The Bucs moved into first place in the Olympic League 2A division Thursday after Klahowya fell to North Mason. As a result, Kingston’s first playoff game will be played at Legion Field in Bremerton May 15 at 7 p.m.
Vikings could clinch league title today
North Kitsap could clinch at least a share of the Olympic League 3A title today with a win over last-place Bremerton. Game time is 4 p.m. at the NK field. Find results here after the game.
TENNIS
North Kitsap plays at home today and Saturday against Olympic, Bremerton and Port Angeles in the Olympic League 3A tournament. Kingston is at Bremerton today and Saturday for the 2A tourney. Check www.northkitsapherald.com for results.

The Bucs scored twice in the second half to secure the win.

LACROSSE
Bainbridge 22, North Kitsap 4 (Thursday)
Bainbridge’s Morgan Moniz led with five goals and two assists, while Kendra Gottschalk scored all four for North.
Auburn Mountainview 20, North Kitsap 15 (Wednesday)
The North Kitsap girls lacrosse team fell to Auburn Mountainview Wednesday, despite nine goals from Mallory Glebe and 13 saves from keeper Zandi Lougheed.
