Youth football

expands to Kingston

The North Kitsap Pee Wee Association (NKPW) announced it is expanding into Kingston to create a local youth football program.

NKPW organizers said Kingston High School Coach Dan Novick has been very supportive and helpful in the process of setting up the organization and also sees this as an opportunity to start reaching out to kids prior to them playing at the high school level.

“Now that Kingston has the facilities for practices and games, it opened up a much-needed opportunity to expand the current North Kitsap Pee Wee Football program into Kingston,” said NK Pee Wee coach and Kingston resident Jeff Rouser. “This allows more youth, who were not able to commute into Poulsbo, to now be part of a wonderful organization and sport.”

Games will be held at the Kingston High School football field on Saturdays starting after Labor Day and the community is invited to come out and support the local teams.

The Kingston teams are in addition to the Poulsbo Pee Wee Football teams, which hold games at Hamilton Field in Poulsbo on Saturdays.

The expansion requires the North Kitsap Pee Wee Association to raise additional funds for equipment. Sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals are available.
