LAKEWOOD — The North Kitsap Vikings advanced to the semifinals of the 2A State Volleyball Tournament, after defeating Woodland 3-1 in the quarterfinals Nov. 14.
The Vikings were scheduled to play Sehome at 1 p.m., Nov. 15 at Pierce College. The winner of the semifinal match plays the winner of the Tumwater/Selah match; the losers play for third and fourth.
The Vikings are 22-0 this season after the win over Woodland (23-25, 25-19,19-25, 29-27).
Tigers end Bucs’ run
POULSBO — The Burlington-Edison Tigers eliminated the Kingston Buccaneers from the State Volleyball Tournament Nov. 14 at North Kitsap Stadium.
The Tigers won 13-3 in the first round of the tournament.
The North Kitsap Vikings are the last team from the Olympic League at State. The Olympic Trojans lost to Ellensburg 48-13 on Nov. 14.
The Vikings play Hockinson at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at North Kitsap Stadium. The winner moves on to the quarterfinals Nov. 21-22.
