POULSBO — The Vikings varsity volleyball team remained unbeaten through September.
The Vikings didn’t lose a set in five games, two non-conference.
The Vikings (3-0, 5-0) ended the month with a 3-0 win over North Mason (0-4, 2-5). The Vikings won 25-11, 25-4, 25-9.
Vikings captain Sarah Holt led the team with 13 kills, nine digs and was 12-12 serving. Briar Perez had nine kills and four blocks. Bri Duchemin had five kills and five blocks.
Mareena Clotfelter finished with 19 assists, and Molly Lemmon had seven digs.
The win over North Mason put the Vikings in third in the Olympic League standings, behind Olympic (4-0, 4-3) and Sequim (5-0, 6-0). The Vikings were scheduled to travel to Sequim Oct. 2, after the Herald went to press.
The Kingston Buccaneers, meanwhile, are slipping back in the Olympic League.
The Bucs (0-6, 0-6) are last in the standings, behind North Mason.
