Volleyball: Talented duo points way to Wolves’ future

Bell, Lacey earn All-Kitsap team honorable mention

South Kitsap returned just one senior from its 2009 team and that was reflected on the volleyball court.

The youthful Wolves finished 3-9 overall and 2-5 in Class 4A Narrows League play. Only two players — middle blocker Toni Bell and outside hitter Sarah Lacey — were selected as honorable mentions on this year’s team.

The all-county team, made up of eligible players from schools in Kitsap County, was voted on by the sports editors and writers of the Kitsap News Group, including the Port Orchard Independent, Bainbridge Review, Bremerton Patriot, Central Kitsap Reporter and North Kitsap Herald.
