SILVERDALE — WestSound FC’s BU-14 state-champion team won the U.S. Youth Soccer Regional Tournament opener in Boise June 12.

The team also won the Snohomish Invitational (Gold) June 9.

Also claiming titles were David Connolly’s GU-11 and Kevin Skinner’s GU-18 teams at the Rainier Challenge in Puyallup. These were the only teams WestSound FC entered in each respective tournament.

“This is a great start to the summer season,” WSFC Coaching Director George Vukic said.

Quarterfinals begin Saturday in Boise, followed by semifinals and the regional championship Sunday.
