If you want a cat, keep them inside. We don’t live in the country where land owners need cats to keep rodents away. If my dog roamed the streets and pooped in neighbors’ yards and howled all night, he would eventually be picked up by the Humane Society.

For 25 years, the C.A. Thayer was a commanding presence on the waters of Liberty Bay.
