Attract more businesses to Poulsbo. Create new jobs. Find a solution to erosion on Anderson Parkway. Improve the health of Liberty Bay. Improve boat, plane and customer facilities at the Port of Poulsbo. Give yourself a voice in port matters. Spread taxpayer investment in the port across the entire city, not just a portion of it. That seems a good return for an investment of $75.
I am advocating for keeping the caucus. I feel strongly that the greater good in what may sometimes feel like a messy process is that of building community and the base of support for candidates in our democracy.
If your goal was to express a position of “unbiased balance,” I must give you a failing grade. It is not acceptable to use rascally rhetoric, in which you are guilty of slanting, misquoting, and quoting out of context.
The contention that the Senate’s refusal to consider the confirmation of Judge Garland is somehow justified is simply erroneous. The late Justice Scalia would no doubt agree that the inaction of Senate Republicans runs counter to the intent of the Constitution’s framers. The Senate has the right to vote down the President’s choice, but refusing consideration runs counter to the framers’ design.
The country might be better off not having a President for four years than one of the candidates we are stuck to choose from.

Track and field athletes from at least six schools will compete in the Lil’ Norway Invitational April 2 at North Kitsap Stadium. Scheduled to compete, according to the Olympic League website, are Bainbridge, Chimacum, North Kitsap, Olympic, Sequim and Vashon Island.

April Ferguson, a member of the Suquamish Citizens Advisory Committee and a former child care center operator, has announced her candidacy for 23rd District state representative, position 1. Ferguson, a Republican, is running for the position currently occupied by Sherry Appleton, D-Poulsbo. State representatives are elected for two-year terms. The primary election is Aug. 2, the general election is Nov. 8.
